Weekly Recap
Chad takes the whole boardroom. Tom wins the game nobody should frame.
Chad Van Horn answered his opening loss with the league's new scoring benchmark, crushing Evan Seacat 137.06 to 86.44. Davante Adams scored 35.50 and Dak Prescott added 31.26. The 50.62 point margin is also the largest of the young season. Chad collected Chairman of the Board and Statement Win. Evan collected the invoice.
Sean Laird survived Alex Buell 108.43 to 105.03 in the closest matchup of Week 2. Alex got 38.00 from Jaxon Smith Njigba and still became the Wrong Boardroom winner as the highest scoring loser. Sean is 2 and 0 after winning his first two games by a combined 8.35 points. Apparently efficiency now includes emotional damage.
Rob Lazerson beat Stephen Spencer 105.22 to 71.90 behind Josh Allen's league best 40.82 starter points. Jack Decker handled Larry Noel 97.67 to 68.48 as Amon Ra St. Brown and DeVonta Smith combined for 53.40. Larry went from the strongest losing score in Week 1 to the second lowest score in Week 2. Fantasy football remains a stable and respectable enterprise.
Mike Aguanno moved to 2 and 0 by beating Pavel Kogan 89.65 to 79.77. Jonathan Taylor scored 27.20 for Pavel, but Mike received points from all eight starters and needed every ugly one of them.
Chris Scurry beat Tom Burkett 68.81 to 54.07. It was the week's lowest combined score, and Tom set the new season low. CeeDee Lamb scored 31.30, accounting for nearly half of Chris's total. Chris is 2 and 0. No style points were harmed because none were present.
The Week 2 Business Horse awards belong to Chad for high score and largest win, Tom for low score, Sean and Alex for the closest finish, Alex for highest scoring loser, Josh Allen for best starter, and Evan's Brock Purdy for the top bench score at 29.48. These are computed website awards, separate from Sleeper's weekly report.
