Weekly Recap
Sean takes the opening bell. Larry gets the worst seat in the boardroom.
Sean Laird opened 2026 with the league’s highest score, beating Larry Noel 130.91 to 125.96. Kenneth Walker supplied 32.60 points. Larry finished second in scoring and still took a loss. His lineup would have beaten all ten other teams. That is a brutal draw, not a bad lineup.
Chris Scurry posted the biggest margin of the week, beating Alex Buell 112.27 to 80.41. The 31.86 point gap gives Scurry the opening Statement Win award.
Tom Burkett beat defending champion Chad Van Horn 98.16 to 73.20. Caleb Williams delivered 37.76 points for Tom, the highest score by any starter this week. Chad starts his title defense with the league’s lowest team total.
Stephen Spencer beat Jack Decker 114.70 to 107.87, with Jahmyr Gibbs and Jalen Coker combining for 60.90 points. Trevor Lawrence’s 27.85 stayed on Stephen’s bench, but it did not cost him the win. Sleeper named Jack Best Manager for reaching 98% of a 110.07 point perfect lineup. Stephen won despite earning Sleeper’s Worst Manager award at 77% of a 149.55 point perfect lineup.
Mike Aguanno survived the closest matchup, beating Rob Lazerson 106.06 to 101.96 by 4.10. Rob’s 35.16 from Josh Allen was not enough. Pavel Kogan handled Evan Seacat 97.12 to 78.31, powered by Derrick Henry’s 34.80.
Six managers leave the opening week unbeaten. Sean owns the first scoring benchmark, Scurry owns the largest margin, and Larry owns the strongest losing score. These are the starting marks for the 2026 record book, not claims about the league’s full history.
